There have been signs for some time now that Cirrus - Maestro cards issued or backed by the North York Community Credit Union were undere attack.
There are literally hundreds of thousands of cards that are now being decativated as a result of various authorities applying pressure on the NYCCU. This Canadian credit union had attracted a lot of business from various card issuers around the world and you will have to read the fine print to see if YOUR card is one of those affected.
Your money will NOT be trapped on the card. They are allowing users a reasonable time to empty their accounts but card loading has already been blocked. |
